Paxton Green Group Practice
Digitisation of Lloyd George Paper Medical Records
Our Practice is in the process of digitising all paper medical records as part of a national NHS initiative.
This means that all paper-based patient notes will be securely scanned and saved into patient electronic medical records.
The nationally-funded digitisation process is due to begin in April 2025 and will take several months to complete.
Digitising these records will:
- Improve access to patient information for healthcare professionals
- Reduce the risk of lost or damaged records
- Free up valuable space within the practice for improved patient care
This project aligns with the NHS Long Term Plan published in 2019 to modernise healthcare systems and improve efficiency.
